Schemes is a Danish-Norwegian jazz quartet that consists of some of the most
exciting new names of the Scandinavian jazz-scene. Their music is unconventional
and full of contrasts, where intricate compositions are approached with freedom and
openness. The quartet draws inspiration from the jazz scenes of Berlin, New York,
and Scandinavia. With intense interplay, the music is presented through the
musicians' desire to challenge and complement each other. Schemes create an
energy that captivates the listener from the very beginning. In the fall of 2026 they
will release their second album as a group.
"Full of energy melodies and angular lines and using fluently the vocabulary of both
structured music and free improvisation, this youthful and promising quartet has reached a

high level of expressive maturity.»
